About The Role

Join the Market Leader in Business Technology

Ricoh is a global leader in workplace technology and services, proudly operating across the Pacific Islands. We are expanding our team in Solomon Islands and are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Solution Engineer to join our high-performing local office.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked as a Pre-Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant—especially in the printing, imaging, or IT services industry—who can combine strong technical knowledge with client-facing problem-solving capabilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Solution Engineer, you’ll play a hybrid role at the intersection of sales, customer success, and technical implementation. You will:

  • Proactively identify and engage new business customers, understand their business needs, and propose tailored solutions from our portfolio of hardware, software, and managed services.
  • Work with the sales team to design and implement technical solutions, including Ricoh multifunction devices, print management software (e.g. PaperCut), and integration with customer systems.
  • Deliver on-site installations, configurations, and training—and provide post-sales support to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
  • Maintain a regular cadence of customer contact to discover new opportunities and resolve any issues before they escalate.
  • Play a vital role in project coordination, internal reporting, marketing campaign support, and continuous process improvement.

What We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have

  • Prior experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant, or Technical Sales Support—ideally in the copier, IT services, or imaging industry.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver technical recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with installing and configuring networked print devices and using tools like FMAudit, 3manager, or similar.
  • Ability to manage a sales pipeline, conduct needs assessments, and prepare high-quality proposals and presentations.
  • A proactive attitude, professional reliability, and commitment to delivering WOW service.

What You’ll Get

  • Generous base salary and incentive structure
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Opportunities for regional or international travel
  • A fun, supportive team culture with a focus on operational excellence
  • The chance to represent a respected, high-profile brand across the Pacific
