About The Role
- Roles & responsibilities
- •Review of workpapers for Taxable Income and Earnings and Profits Calculations for CFCs and other foreign entities
- •Responsible for providing training on corporate tax concepts to new hires and coaching tax professionals
- •Review of international tax filings such as CFCs, and foreign information reporting (Form 5471, Form 8858, Form 926, Form 5472 etc.)
- •Review of fixed asset workpaper and depreciation/Gain or loss calculation (Form 4562, Form 4797)
- •Review of workpapers related to provision calculation
- •Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.
- •Assess tax impact on clients of rules and law changes, develop tax arguments to support conclusions and make recommendations to clients
- •Manage client's engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects).
- •Managing engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing.
- •Responsible for monitoring Engagement budgets vs actual hours
- •Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the KPMG tax practice.
- •Overseeing complex federal tax compliance and consulting projects requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates.
- •Responsible for managing 5-10 people in the team
- •Responsible for development and performance management of the team.
- •Proactively interact with client management team to gather information, resolve tax-related problems, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
- •Support the Engagement Manager in pursuits, proposals and engagement reporting.
- •Proficient on Go System / OneSource income tax, and/or Corptax.
- •Consistently grow knowledge of technology skills, technical skill and soft skills through firm- provided trainings.
- •Continuous improvement of team's performance through critical analysis of feedback received.
- •Oversee internal measurement metrics regarding quality of deliverables and time schedules.
Mandatory Skills
- •Minimum master's degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance Experience
- •The candidate must have 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a Big 4 Firm
- •Strong tax accounting skills with proficiency in US GAAP and tax compliance
- •Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams
- •Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e., Excel).
- •Broad exposure to federal income taxation and knowledge of tax regulations
Preferred Skills
- •Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations without compromising on quality and ethical standards and values
- •Good engagement management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
