Project Management Officer - Gas Insulated Switchgear 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

In this role, you will report to the Department Manager of Project Management and support a growing global team of more than 70 Project Managers globally. You will play a key role in strengthening project execution excellence for our Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) customer projects by shaping robust processes, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across a diverse project portfolio.

How you’ll make an impact

Develop, implement, and continuously improve project management processes, standards, and governance across a global project portfolio

Strengthen process and portfolio competence to ensure transparency and on‑time delivery (OTD) of customer projects

Translate lessons learned from project execution into structured continuous improvement (CI) actions

Lead and support mid‑term strategic project management initiatives in close cross‑functional collaboration

Act as an escalation point for systemic project management issues and drive sustainable resolutions

Ensure project management methods, tools, and IT systems are fit for purpose and continuously optimized

Leverage data analytics to support data‑driven decision‑making and identify improvement opportunities

Actively contribute to and collaborate within the CI community, fostering a learning and improvement culture

Your background

5+ years of experience in project management within complex, international project environments

Strong expertise in project management processes, governance, and portfolio management

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt with a strong continuous improvement mindset

Experience in business analysis and applying Lean concepts in a technology-driven environment

Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills

Experience managing external partners and contract resources

Active member of a CI community, with a collaborative and knowledge-sharing mindset
