Responsibilities

  • Monthly coding of client Xero files
  • Preparing business GST for New Zealand Clients ONLY
  • Preparing BAS and IAS for Australian clients ONLY
  • Preparing FBT for clients
  • Preparing financial statements and tax returns
  • Preparing work papers before submitting for review
  • Preparation of Xero and other management reports
  • Assistance with Ad hoc value-added projects
  • Assistance with in-house projects when required
  • Managing of personal workflow
  • Pro-actively assist the Seniors/Managers/Directors with various other ad hoc duties.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting essential
  • At least 2 or more years of similar experience in NZ/AU Chartered Accounting experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of accounting and taxation concepts essential
  • Experience with Xero is helpful but not essential

Proficient in Excel

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
  • Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally.
  • Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
  • Time management/organization: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
