Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Eligible for employment in the US
  • Must have one of the following:
  • One (1) year experience in any of the following Maintenance Skill Areas: INSTRUMENTATION, ELECTRICAL, or HVAC;

OR

  • One (1) year vocational/technical education in the Maintenance Disciplines: INSTRUMENTATION, ELECTRICAL, or HVAC
  • Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
  • Work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery, elevated working surfaces, and confined spaces (with proper safety training and safety protection)
  • Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment
  • Undergo a job-related health assessment as a condition of employment
  • Submit to periodic drug screens as a condition of employment
  • Work any shift and/or a rotating shift schedule
  • Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification
  • Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
  • Wear required safety equipment

It is preferred that candidates have the following skills and/or experience(s)

  • Associates degree or certification(s) in any IP Core Maintenance Skills or related disciplines (Electrical, Instrumentation, or HVAC)
  • Relevant work experience in an industrial environment.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with:
  • Industrial safety procedures and equipment
  • Troubleshooting and repair of:
  • Instrument and control loop calibration
  • Electrical control circuits
  • Control valves
  • PLC programming
  • DCS programming
  • Electrical power distribution and grounding
  • Motor control circuits
  • AC/DC motors
  • Protective relaying and switchgear
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, tables, graphs, and diagrams
  • Instrument Theory
  • Control Theory
  • Production-related computers and software
  • Basic electronics
  • Lighting repairs
  • Installing conduit and wire

This position will assist journeymen-level electricians and instrumentation technicians in routine maintenance work as well as performing many duties independently.
