Newhaul · Perth WA, Australia

About The Role

Fenix is a fully integrated iron ore producer based in Western Australia's Mid-West. We mine high-grade iron ore, haul it 490 kilometres on our own fleet, and load it at our own port facilities in Geraldton. One company, pit to port.

Fenix is growing at Weld Range following the securing of a 290Mt high-grade iron ore resource, underpinning its move toward 10Mtpa and driving expanded mining and logistics activity across the region. Supported by strong global partners and a fully integrated mine-to-port network, Fenix is entering a new phase of growth, backed by a clear production plan and pipeline of development projects.

Job Description

The Environmental Lead – Approvals & Closure is responsible for leading environmental approvals, compliance, and closure planning for a large-scale private haul road and associated mining operations.

This role will ensure all environmental obligations are met under relevant State and Commonwealth legislation, while supporting project delivery timelines through proactive approvals strategy, stakeholder engagement, and technical oversight of environmental studies.

The position plays a critical role in enabling project development, mitigating environmental risk, and establishing robust frameworks for mine closure and rehabilitation.

This is a Perth based role with regular travel to our operations in the Mid-West.
