About The Role

As a Forest Harvesting Manager, you will be expected to carry out the following duties for North South Timber Harvesting Ltd

Liaising daily with company managers on all active site Harvesting operations and conditions

Implementing all relevant health and safety procedures for harvesting operations to take place.

Ensuring all technology solutions are being implemented correctly by all operators on site.

Provide weekly reviews and updates on harvesting production reports.

Weekly progress reports on Timber movements from roadside.

Monthly reports on Biomass stock volumes per Harvesting site

Client liaison to update on progress and deal with requests.

Ensure all Biomass Harvesting techniques are being implemented by all company operators on harvesting site while harvesting operations are in progress.

Ensure all fellow operators are implementing the IT systems correctly on their machines.

Ensure that all harvesting and forwarding equipment on sites are maintained to an extremely high standard.

Ensure Daily harvesting targets are being achieved.

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the forestry industry from a harvesting production perspective
  • Experience in Harvesting Thinning and clearfell Projects
  • Experience in using Ponsse, John Deere, Komatsu, Tigercat harvesting units and IT systems.
  • Performance driven.
  • Must be mechanically minded.
  • Ideal candidate will have also acquired some international experience in harvesting.
