Job Description
Job Summary
A Medical Product Specialist promotes and sells medical or healthcare products to hospitals, clinics, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers. The role involves educating customers about product features, clinical benefits, and proper usage while achieving sales targets and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and market assigned medical or pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, hospital purchasing teams, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and scientific discussions.
- Educate healthcare professionals on product indications, benefits, safety information, and proper use.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market share.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Prepare sales reports, customer visit reports, and territory analyses.
- Organize and participate in medical conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and educational events.
- Coordinate with marketing, medical affairs, and customer service teams to support product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure all promotional activities comply with company policies and applicable healthcare regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Biology, Biomedical Science, Medical
- Fresh Graduates are welcome
- Laboratory Science, or another life science field (requirements vary by employer).
- Previous experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sales is often preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and explain medical and scientific information.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
