Engineering Learnership Opportunities – Persons with Disability Program

Valterra Platinum invites suitably qualified Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) to express their interest in participating in structured development programmes aimed at enhancing employability and creating sustainable career pathways within the mining industry.

The purpose of the program is to develop competent candidates into the Learnership and Work Integrated Learning (where applicable) through structured institutional and workplace-based learning, coaching, mentoring, and practical exposure aligned to operational requirements.

The programme will run for a period of 12 months.

Successful candidates will be required to

• Participate in structured training and development programmes
• Complete all learning interventions, assessments and logbooks
• Adhere to all safety, health, environmental and quality requirements
• Demonstrate commitment to personal development and learning
• Participate in workplace exposure and practical training
• Comply with Company policies, procedures and standards

Suitable candidates with Grade 12 / Nated qualifications may be considered for training and development opportunities in roles such as: Skip and Cage Attendant, Pump Attendant, Belt Attendant, Lamproom Assistant and Engineering Assistant

Preference may be given to candidates whose qualifications align with operational and business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate
• Nated qualifications will be advantageous (N3-N6)
• South African Citizen
• Persons with Disabilities (proof of disability may be required)
• Medically fit for the specific role and working environment
• Good communication skills
• No criminal record
