Qualification

  • B.E./ PG Diploma Industrial Safety and Fire Engineering / Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

Experience

  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in construction safety, preferably in high-rise educational,
  • institutional, or commercial building projects.

Job Description

  • Knowledge of construction safety standards and laws.
  • Understanding of IS Codes, OSHA principles, and local statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with company HSE policies, HIRA, PTW, EHS.
  • Expertise in high rise Educational Projects.
  • Implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, construction safety standards, IS Codes, OSHA principles,
  • and other local legal requirements.
  • Conduct Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and recommend appropriate control measures to
  • eliminate or minimize risks.
  • Administer and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities such as work at height, hot work,
  • confined space entry, lifting operations, and electrical work.
  • Carry out regular site safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments, ensuring timely closure of identified
  • observations.
  • Develop and implement emergency preparedness and response plans, including fire prevention, evacuation
  • procedures, and mock drills.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive
  • actions.
  • Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns, and periodic training for employees,
  • contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promote a strong safety culture across the project.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and statutory authorities on all HSE-related matters.
  • Maintain statutory registers, safety documentation, inspection records, incident reports, and compliance reports.
  • Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare periodic HSE reports for management review.
  • Ensure safe execution of construction activities, including excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, work at height,
  • electrical works, and structural activities.
  • Guide and mentor junior safety personnel to ensure effective implementation of safety management systems.
  • Support continual improvement initiatives to enhance overall project safety performance and regulatory
  • compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction safety standards, IS Codes, OSHA guidelines, and statutory HSE requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HIRA, PTW systems, EHS management systems, and safety audit processes
