About The Role

Responsibilities

  • Understand the valuesand vision of the organization

  • Own application development, modernization support, technical coordination, and delivery governance
  • Guide replacement or modernization of legacy technologies such as Grails/GSP, WAR/Tomcat deployments, ActiveMQ/JMS, Apache Storm, and legacy authentication patterns
  • Design and support Java/Spring Boot services, REST APIs,and event-driven workflows using AWS SQS/SNS, JMS, or equivalent messaging platforms
  • Support React-based front-end development, component architecture, state management, and API integration patterns
  • Oversee Bitbucket Pipelines, deployment coordination, release promotion, and AWS integration across all Product Development applications
  • Establish and maintain cross-application DevOps standards, secure engineering practices, and production observability
  • Guide relational data modeling, ORM usage (JPA/Hibernate), and schema migration practices on PostgreSQL/Aurora
  • Lead technical design, mentor developers, coordinate releases, and ensure secure, maintainable, and scalable engineering practices
  • Support cross-training andtechnical consistency acrossthe development team

Essential Skills

Job

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, with strongJava, Spring Boot, RESTful API, and service-oriented architecture experience
  • Hands-on experience modernizing legacy platforms, including Grails, Groovy, GSPviews, WAR/Tomcat deployments, or similar legacy Java web stacks
  • Strong front-end awareness with React-based single-page applications, component-based architecture, state management, and API integration patterns
  • Experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora, relational data modeling, ORMframeworks such as JPA/Hibernate, and schema migration practices
  • Experience designing and supporting event-driven workflows using messaging platforms such as AWS SQS/SNS, JMS, or equivalent technologies
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, secrets management, CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based development environments, and production observability
  • Hands-on experience with Bitbucket, Bitbucket Pipelines, build automation, deployment orchestration, and release promotion across environments
  • Ability to lead technical design, coordinate releases, and ensure secure, maintainable, and scalable engineering practices

  • Experience with AWS Cognito, OAuth2/JWT, and migration awayfrom mixed or legacy authentication models

Other Relevant Information

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably on SaaS or enterprise platforms
  • Willingness to provideDevOps oversight and cross-training coverage across multiple applications
