Legal Counsel

We are looking for an experienced Head of Legal to lead all legal activities at country level, acting as a strategic partner to the business. This is a senior role with strong exposure to leadership, focusing in particular on leasing contracts, corporate compliance, and legal risk management within a commercial real estate environment.

Your responsibilities

• Lead and manage the legal department, including coaching and developing a small team
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on legal matters
• Provide end-to-end legal support for leasing activities, including negotiation of lease agreements (new lettings, renewals, amendments), structuring and reviewing complex commercial terms, and advising on risk mitigation in leasing transactions
• Ensure full corporate and regulatory compliance across the organization
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (suppliers, service providers, partners)
• Oversee litigation, disputes and tenant-related matters, coordinating external counsel where required
• Manage relationships with external law firms, ensuring quality and cost efficiency
• Support business projects (e.g. investments, asset management initiatives) from a legal perspective
• Drive standardization of legal documents, processes and best practices

Our requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer with a Master’s degree in Law
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, ideally in-house or in a top-tier law firm
• Strong background in commercial real estate, with proven experience in leasing contracts
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team
• Solid knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and contract law
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English (additional languages are a plus)
