Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled SaaS Systems Administrator to manage and optimize cloud-based platforms and enterprise SaaS applications within a global organization. This role is critical in maintaining system reliability, security, and performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day platform administration, enhancing configurations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and efficient SaaS environment that supports business operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

SaaS Platform Administration

Administer, configure, and support enterprise SaaS applications, including

Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams)

Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence)

Salesforce

ServiceNow

Slack

  • Manage the full user lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, access control, and license allocation
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, and usage trends to ensure optimal functionality

Security & Compliance

Apply and maintain security controls across SaaS platforms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), role-based access control (RBAC), and conditional access policies

Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives aligned with standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and data privacy regulations

Identify and address potential security risks, misconfigurations, and vulnerabilities within SaaS environments

Automation & Optimization

  • Develop and maintain scripts or automated workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce operational costs, and improve user experience
  • Assist in integrating SaaS platforms using APIs, webhooks, and automation tools

Incident & Problem Management

  • Investigate and resolve issues related to SaaS platforms, including outages and performance degradation
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical concerns from internal support teams
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base content

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

  • Partner with IT, engineering, cybersecurity, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Participate in vendor-related activities, including evaluation of new SaaS tools and management of renewals
  • Support onboarding and training initiatives for new tools and features

Required Skills & Experience

Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of SaaS lifecycle management and cloud service delivery
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations and workflows
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with a structured approach
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in security-focused or compliance-driven environments

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience administering enterprise SaaS platforms, including

Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Entra ID

Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence)

Salesforce

ServiceNow

  • Okta or other identity providers
  • Slack or similar collaboration platforms
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with API integrations, REST endpoints, and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Workato)
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management concepts (SSO, SCIM, RBAC, conditional access)
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, proxies)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for SaaS environments
  • Awareness of cloud security principles and best practices

Additional Notes

  • This role supports a global user base and requires collaboration with distributed teams
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments is advantageous
