OUR TEAM

I n the Sustainability Department, we aim to protect the forest, ensure animals are safe, comply with forestry regulations, and maintain strong stakeholder alignment across the internal and external ecosystems.

MISSION

In this role, he/she/they will lead

The development and implementation of RLU’s environmental and social (E&S) strategies, including biodiversity conservation, climate-related risk mitigation, community partnerships, and active forest restoration plans.

Manage on a daily basis a direct and indirect team , tracking E&S operational KPIs, overseeing the function's budget, translating indicators into clear operational frameworks, and driving sustainability crisis management.

Collaborate with the RLU CEO and Management Team, local/national Indonesian authorities (such as the Ministry of Environment and Forestry), NGOs, community leaders, and Michelin’s regional and global sustainability teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • Obtained a master’s degree in Sustainability, Social Development, Forestry, Conservation, or Rural Development.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Sustainability or any relevant field
  • Proficiency in managing sustainability framework reporting, complex data evaluation, and E&S risk management mitigation tools
  • Business Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Strong crisis management, budgeting, and high-level negotiation or influencing skills

Preferred

  • Working experience working directly with the Ministry of Forestry and local/international NGOs in Indonesia is a plus
