Tax Associate

Tax and Accounting - Santa Monica, CA

Entry Level/Compensation $85K – $95K DOE

Gerber Kawasaki is one of the fastest-growing and most influential independent wealth and investment management firms in the country. We are seeking a Tax Associate to support our tax department by preparing tax returns and providing overall tax-related support. We are looking for an proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and management. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to grow with a well-established, diverse, and expanding tax practice.

This role is 80% in-office, 4 days per week

Job Description

  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns for C corporations, S corporations, LLCs and High Net Worth individuals
  • Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and departments

Minimum Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting. MS Tax preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and experience with tax preparation & planning software. Experience with Lacerte preferred.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, commitment, and reliability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Salary: $85,000+ depending on experience (DOE)
