= CORPORATE job description Mid level Full Stack Software Engineer | HealthTrust General Position Information Reports directly to (Title): Engineering Manager Matrix reports to (Title):  Direct Reports:  Created / Last Revised: 05/22/2026 Job Code: TBD Position Summary: The Midlevel Full Stack Engineer supports software development across HealthTrust Customer Solutions applications through a balanced mix of front-end, back-end, database, cloud, and developer-owned testing responsibilities. This role is responsible for implementing scoped user stories with guidance, contributing production-ready application code, supporting API and database changes, and collaborating with QA/SDET resources to deliver reliable software across customer-facing, internal, and integrated systems. This position supports HealthTrust Customer Solutions applications across varying levels of complexity. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision, learn business workflows and system dependencies quickly, communicate technical risks and blockers clearly, and contribute effectively in a distributed team environment. In addition to strong hands-on development capability, this role is expected to contribute to developer-owned testing practices, including unit tests, API validation, and other test support where appropriate. The Midlevel Full Stack Engineer should balance delivery speed with maintainability, quality, and business value while working within established engineering patterns, architecture guidance, and CI/CD practices. Responsibilities: Implement scoped user stories and engineering tasks with guidance from senior engineers, technical leads, or engineering management Write and maintain front-end application code using React and Vue within established application patterns Write and maintain back-end application code using .NET/C# Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot APIs, services, and integration points across HealthTrust Customer Solutions applications Create and update SQL Server database queries, stored procedures, schema changes, and data validation logic as appropriate for assigned work Write and maintain developer-owned tests, including unit tests, integration tests, API tests, and functional tests where appropriate Collaborate with QA and SDET resources to clarify acceptance criteria, improve testability, reproduce defects, validate fixes, and reduce regression risk Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, and remediation across front-end, back-end, database, and integration layers Review logs, application behavior, API responses, and database results to troubleshoot issues and validate expected outcomes Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve code quality, maintainability, performance, and security Work within established CI/CD practices to support reliable delivery of application changes Learn business workflows, application behavior, and system dependencies quickly enough to contribute effectively across multiple product areas Communicate technical risks, blockers, assumptions, and implementation tradeoffs clearly and proactively Produce clear technical documentation, implementation notes, and handoff details when appropriate Support production issue investigation and release validation activities as needed Performs other duties as assigned Education & Experience: Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in software engineering, full stack development, or related application development roles with hands-on experience in front-end, back-end, database, and cloud-based application development Background: Previous experience developing modern web applications using React, Vue, .NET/C#, SQL Server, APIs, and Azure-based delivery practices. Experience working in multi-application environments and contributing to developer-owned testing is required. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field Must Have Skills Strong hands-on experience developing front-end applications using React Strong hands-on experience developing front-end applications using Vue Hands-on back-end development experience using .NET/C# Experience developing and maintaining APIs and service-based application components Experience working with SQL Server, including writing queries, validating data, and supporting application data changes reviewing logs and troubleshooting application behavior across front-end, back-end, database, and integration layers Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices Ability to work across multiple applications and shift priorities based on sprint demand Ability to collaborate effectively with QA, SDET, product, and engineering partners Strong written and collaborative communication skills in a distributed team environment Ability to produce clear technical artifacts independently, including implementation notes, documentation, test evidence, and defect analysis
