Officer, Claims

In this position you will....

Manage and handle claims for property and casualty products. Work and build the claims value proposition for the company. Streamline workflow and process design to strive operation excellence.

You will be responsible for…

• Handling Property and Liability claims with focus on liability, investigation and global settlement.
• Acquiring and efficiently organizing the relevant evidence and information to accurately assess the value of the litigated claim and to recognize potential fraud/recovery indicators.
• Conducting in-house global settlement.
• Building up relationship with all stakeholders and to conclude the case at the earliest to avoid litigation development.
• Developing strategy to ensure appropriate reserves are assigned, investigations conducted and appropriate specialists engaged.
• Developing vendor relationship and management strategy.
• Providing technical support to the team including workflow simplification and automation initiatives .

You will require the following qualifications and skills

• Good common sense.
• A minimum of 3 years or above experience in Property and Liability claims.
• Preferably tertiary education in one of the fields (or more) would be required: Health, Insurance, Business Administration or Legal.
• Preferably achieved recognized industry standard (e.g. Snr Asso. of ANZIIF).
• A good team player.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English.
