Part-Time Position

Monongahela, PA-Senior Center

Overall Function

Assists in the day-to-day planning and directing of one or more senior centers or sites.

Essential Functions

• Assists in planning and executing a daily schedule of activities at a senior center.
• Completes all required documentation including client intakes and work records.
• Assists in maintaining site records and reports.
• Assists the program monitor in working with the elected site committee to ensure consumer program input and volunteer activities to meet the needs of the center on-site program.
• Provides community outreach, education, and awareness of the aging programs.
• Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or G.E.D. and experience working with the public preferred.
• Ability to receive, understand, and communicate information with effectiveness, and follow instructions.
• Previous volunteer or employment experience interacting with the general public.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with volunteers, internal staff.
• Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
• Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the PA State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the PA Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
