Job Overview
Subaru South Tampa is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Sales Lot Porter to keep our new and pre-owned vehicle inventory organized, spotless, and ready for display. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining lot presentation, assisting the sales team with vehicle transport, and ensuring an exceptional first impression for every guest who visits our dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lot & Inventory Maintenance: Organize, park, and merchandise new and used inventory to ensure maximum lot appeal and proper spacing.
- Vehicle Preparation: Wash, vacuum, clean windows, and stage vehicles for guest test drives, deliveries, and showroom displays.
- Transport & Logistics: Drive vehicles to and from service bays, detail shop, off-site storage lots, and fuel stations safely.
- Inventory Tracking: Check in incoming transport trucks, inspect vehicles for shipping damage, tag keys, and verify inventory tags.
- Facility Support: Keep the sales lot, driveways, and customer parking areas clean, clear of debris, and safe for guests.
- Sales Team Assistance: Move vehicles promptly as requested by sales managers and advisors to support smooth daily sales operations.
QualificationsQualifications & Requirements
- Driver's License: Valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean, insurable driving record (required).
- Experience: Prior automotive lot porter, valet, or detailing experience preferred, but willing to train candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Driving Abilities: Comfortable operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Attention to Detail: Pride in keeping vehicles and dealership grounds spotless and well-presented.
- Reliability & Communication: Punctual, self-motivated, and able to take direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Ability to work outdoors in various Florida weather conditions for extended periods.
- Constant walking, bending, stooping, light lifting (up to 30 lbs), and standing throughout the shift.
