About The Role

DescriptionOverall Responsibility: Review and negotiate contractual documents, including Contracts and Subcontracts, Joint Venture Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Staffing Agreements, Sample Contract Templates associated with project pursuits and occasionally Office and Vehicle Lease Agreements, as well as Purchase/Task/Work Orders. Prepare Subconsultant and Subcontract Agreements.

Essential Functions

  • Assist Contracts Manager with reviewing contractual documents to assess and mitigate risk to Arora.
  • Check Contractual documents for grammatical and mathematical accuracy prior to having them executed.
  • Ensure Arora’s ability to comply with contractual provisions prior to their execution.
  • File electronic copies of all contractual documents in accordance with naming conventions and procedures established by the Contracts Manager.

Secondary Functions

  • Prepare Task/Work Orders for Subconsultants/Subcontractors.
  • Draft Project Information Sheets (PIF’s).
  • Obtain Certificates of Insurance.
  • Other related duties as assigned by Contracts Manager.

QualificationsNeeded Skills

  • Must have experience negotiating contractual provisions.
  • Must be able to follow direction.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have strong negotiation skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize tasks and be flexible to changing priorities.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have good follow up skills.
  • Must be willing and able to work extra hours as workload may demand.
  • Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, subconsultants and vendors.
  • Experience in Contracts Administration desired. A/E industry experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; especially WORD and EXCEL.
  • Education/Experience Minimum: Paralegal Certificate and work experience desirable. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Contracts Administration, A/E industry preferred.
