Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registration/Admitting Manager to lead our Patient Access team. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing all Registration and Admitting operations, ensuring accurate patient registration, insurance verification, regulatory compliance, revenue cycle support, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about improving operational efficiency while creating an outstanding patient experience.

In This Role, You Will

  • Provide leadership and daily oversight of the Registration/Admitting Department.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and evaluate departmental staff while fostering a positive and accountable work environment.
  • Ensure accurate patient registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance processes to support clean claims and timely reimbursement.
  • Monitor departmental performance, implement process improvements, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing, scheduling, and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with Patient Accounting and hospital leadership to improve revenue cycle performance and reimbursement strategies.
  • Lead customer service initiatives while resolving patient concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Oversee department policies, training programs, quality improvement activities, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with departments across the organization to enhance patient access and support organizational initiatives.

We're Looking For Someone Who

Holds a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Has healthcare registration, admissions, or patient access experience, with previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

Demonstrates exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Possesses strong knowledge of insurance verification, patient registration, revenue cycle fundamentals, and regulatory compliance.

Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and healthcare information systems.

Can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
