Warehouse Worker (7388)

About This OpportunityUnder the direction of the Corps Officer, drive Salvation Army owned vehicle loading and unloading routine pickups and/or deliveries of material, donated or otherwise, to serve production needs of the Corps and/ or general operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items
• Lifts and carries items to the appropriate destination for further processing, storage or discarding for disposal
• Maintains area in a neat and orderly manner; cleans floors, tables and work areas.
• Drives Salvation Army truck along scheduled route to pick-up donations and/or delivery merchandise to customer.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle
• Duties are performed standing and squatting, bending, and walking
• Must be able to lift, move, and carry objects up to 75 pounds frequently.

What we are looking for in youEducation and Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred,

AND

One year prior warehouse experience preferred,

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Certifications

Valid State Driver’s License

Hi9gh School Diploma or GED preferred

And

One-year prior experience preferred

OR

• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
