HealthWorks Medical is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team in a PRN Float capacity.
This position is ideal for a provider who values flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to serve patients across multiple HealthWorks Medical clinic locations. As a PRN Float Provider, you will work at different clinic locations based on staffing and operational needs while delivering the same high-quality, patient-centered care our patients and clients expect.

Clinical Focus: Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine
Travel: Ability and willingness to work at different clinic locations is required
What You’ll Do
As an APRN or PA with HealthWorks Medical, you will provide healthcare to a full spectrum of patients presenting for urgent care and occupational medicine services.
Responsibilities include
- Assessing, diagnosing, managing, and treating illnesses and injuries
- Referring patients to primary care or specialist care when indicated
- Promoting health and evaluating patients’ overall health status
- Ordering and interpreting X-rays and other radiographic studies
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory studies
- Evaluating and treating sprains, strains, fractures, and other injuries
- Performing suturing and providing wound care
- Providing compassionate, patient-centered care while collaborating with the HealthWorks Medical team
- Adapting to the needs and workflows of different HealthWorks Medical clinic locations

- Because this is a float position, candidates should be flexible, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working at multiple clinic locations as needed.

QualificationsQualifications
Required
- Current, valid Kentucky APRN or Physician Assistant license, as applicable
- Ability to practice in Kentucky in accordance with all applicable licensure and regulatory requirements
- Clinical skills and experience necessary to assess, diagnose, manage, and treat patients in an urgent care and occupational medicine setting
- Experience with or demonstrated competency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, including X-rays and laboratory testing
- Experience evaluating and treating common illnesses and injuries, including sprains, strains, fractures, and wounds
- Proficiency in suturing and wound care
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work at multiple HealthWorks Medical clinic locations as needed
- Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-care skills
Preferred
- Current, valid Illinois APRN or Physician Assistant license
- Previous experience in urgent care, occupational medicine, or a similar clinical setting
- Experience working in a multi-site or float provider role
