About The Role
To secure technical infrastructure and workloads by designing, and operationalizing capabilities; support the implementation of continuous security monitoring practices along with threat and vulnerability prevention, detection, and response capabilities. Collaborate with engineers, internal teams, and vendors to support all phases of product integration, operations, and maintenance to ensure a secure Navy Federal environment. Growing an understanding of business needs and objectives. Solve a range of mostly straightforward problems with some increased scope and complexity. Developing professional with basic skill set and proficiency with procedures and techniques.

- Develop security standards and verify controls for hardening infrastructure and development pipelines.
- Implement monitoring and contextual incident response patterns for the security operations center, integrating with SEIM/SOAR technologies.
- Collaborate with threat vulnerability management and risk management teams to secure the network environment.
- Implement monitoring and performance metrics to ensure service efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal security teams and vendors to implement security controls.
- Manage reported system application vulnerabilities through remediation and maintenance.
- Apply broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle to specific security initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in team projects and initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
- 2-5 years of experience in cyber security.
- Basic understanding of business and operating environment.
- Experience in system administration, database administration, network engineering, software engineering, or software development, with a concentration in Cyber Security.
- Basic knowledge of SEIM/SOAR technologies.
- Basic knowledge of security operations and cyber-attack methods .
- Basic skill in security engineering with the ability to design and implement secure systems and network.
- Basic skill with multiple cyber security detection/technologies/tools.
- Experience working with a variety of cyber architectures.
