About The Role
Who we are The opportunity The HR Manager supports the manufacturing effort by working with other business leaders to accomplish company gaols and business objectives. The work environment is a fully automated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that operates on a 24/7 schedule and employs approximately 550 associates. The HR Manager reports to the Director of HR for US Manufacturing. The role Manage the day-to-day HR function at our Mocksville, NC manufacturing facility Work with plant leadership to meet the people needs of the business Support the manufacturing team by providing HR expertise and direction Support recruitment, selection, and onboarding of talent for the facility Lead employee relations and engagement efforts Lead policy administration in accordance with company guidelines Oversee time and attendance and payroll systems to meet the needs of the business Promote the Gildan brand by engaging in community activities Manage HR support staff The requirement BS Degree in an HR or related field strongly preferred HRCI or SHRM HR certification is a plus Minimum of 8 years progressive HR leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment is preferred Experience in direct supervision of other HR practitioners Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (PeopleSoft, Dayforce, and ADP preferred) Advanced computer competency in MS Office Suite and other systems is required Ability to meet the needs of employees across all shifts (24/7 operation) People-centric mentality with a desire to see teammates thrive High energy personality.
