Job Description

Your key responsibility is to execute the daily processes and activities involved in all aspects of arranging the pick up and delivery of a truckload shipment. This multifaceted position requires your accountability in managing a group of drivers and executing dispatch functions, along with ensuring customer service commitments are being met.

DUTIES

Plan, book, and assist drivers in maximizing their earnings, while delivering a high level of customer service to our customers and brokers
Maintain direct contact with drivers throughout the day
Collaborate with the dispatch team to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers
Communicate with freight brokers to provide exceptional customer service
Monitor company equipment, comply with maintenance and safety requirements

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with the trucking industry required
Familiarity with Flatbed equipment is preferred
Must speak and write in English fluently
Experience in OTR dispatch is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to multitask efficiently
Professional attitude and team mindset
The ability to handle difficult situations - to stay calm and make efficient & effective decisions quickly
Experience with DAT, Internet Truckstop, and other load boards is a plus
