About The Role

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables Role Overview As part of the Mahindra Auto Accessories team, the Assistant Manager – Testing Engineer (Structural Accessories) will be responsible for planning and executing validation activities for structural accessories including roof carriers, side steps, guards, racks, mounting systems, and load-bearing accessories. The role will ensure that products meet durability, safety, performance, and regulatory requirements before commercialization. Key Responsibilities Structural Testing & Validation Plan and execute testing programs for structural vehicle accessories. Conduct load, fatigue, durability, vibration, and structural performance testing to validate product robustness. Fitment & Performance Validation Conduct fitment validation and vehicle integration assessments. Evaluate product performance under various operating and environmental conditions. Design Verification & Risk Assessment Prepare and execute Design Verification Plans (DVP). Support DFMEA reviews and validation closure activities for structural components. Homologation & Compliance Manage homologation documentation and approvals for applicable structural accessories. Coordinate compliance activities with ARAI and certification agencies. Test Reporting & Corrective Actions Prepare technical reports, analyze failures, and drive root-cause investigations. Track corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of validation concerns. Key Skills & Competencies Strong expertise in structural testing and validation . Experience in durability, fatigue, vibration, and load testing . Knowledge of homologation processes and ARAI compliance . Proficiency in DVP and validation planning . Education Qualification Experience & Qualifications 4–5 years of experience in automotive structural testing, validation, or product development. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related discipline.
