About The Role
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables - Conduct Supplier Audit including System Audit, Process audits, and Product Audit at supplier's end - Evaluate new suppliers and represent Quality in Supplier Technical Review as part of a team with PD and Sourcing - Identify critical process controls and implement them at supplier end for newly developed and modified parts - Conduct PPAP, PFMEA, and control plan approval through document verification and onsite process verification for new and modified components - Approve initial sample parts in coordination with Sourcing, SQI, and R&D - Conduct System and Process audits at supplier's end - Report non-conformities to suppliers regularly and follow up for corrective and preventive actions implementation through documents like CAPA or 8D Report on quality issues reported at receipt, line, and customer end - Coordinate with supplier, PD, Sourcing, and CQA to improve production reliability by initiating corrective and preventive actions for identified projects from Internal Customer and Warranty - Interact with supplier for analysis and corrective actions on quality issues reported by RQA and CQA related to internal and external customer complaints - Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions taken at supplier end by reviewing results in the next lot Experience 6 – 10 Years - B.E/ B Tech (Mechanical/Production/Automobile) Engg. 9~18 Years- - Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engg. Industry Preferred Automotive Qualifications DME/B. E. /B.Tech (Mechanical/ Production/Automobile) General Requirements - Diploma/BE Mechanical with additional qualification in quality management programs - 9 to 14 years’ experience in handling SQA/SQE in an automotive organization focusing on mechanical/hydraulic parts quality - Technical expertise in spur/helical gears, crown wheel pinion, differential gears, shafts, casting/forging machining, sheet metal process, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic valves, braking system parts (master/slave cylinder), clutch assembly, tie rods, transmission assembly - Thorough knowledge of quality tools and techniques such as 8D, QC Story, DOE, 5Why, FMEA, PPAP - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their controls - Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification is an added advantage - Preferably a certified lead auditor for IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 QMS standard - Good working knowledge of MS Office
