The Role: Principal , Public Affairs
We’re looking for a self starter who is looking to take the next step in their career. Someone with a foundational background in public affairs and client management . Someone who wants to solve big problems and deliver smart, strategic counsel
to clients who play in high-stakes arenas. As Principal of Public Affairs , you will play a critical role in supporting client relationships, ensuring they get the expertise , strategy, and execution needed to drive impactful campaigns.
What You’ll Do
- Client Management:

- Collaborate with senior and executive leadership to develop and execute winning campaign strategies.

- Support the teams working on New York-based clients, ensuring their priorities and goals are met and exceeded .

- Build relationships that last. Clients should see you as a key contributor to their overall success.

- Prioritize crisis and proactive communications, managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Business Growth & Thought Leadership

- Spot opportunities by monitoring and analyzing industry trends.

- Identify ways to expand client engagements and upsell contracts .

- Actively develop proposals, presentations and reports to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Leadership & Execution

- Mentor and develop

What We’re Looking For
- 3 + years of experience in client management, public affairs, communications, government, or a related field .
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills
- A strategic mindset and a tactical edge - you see the big picture and handle the details.
- Knowledge of New York's political, corporate, and nonprofit landscape
