About The Role

DEM Elevating Equipment is looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with machinery, ensuring precision in manufacturing, and contributing to high-quality production. Essential Functions

Set up and operate drill press machines to drill, tap, ream, or countersink metal and other materials.
Operate hydraulic punch machines to cut, shape, and punch metal parts.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine production requirements.
Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures based on job specifications.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and required tolerances.
Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools for accuracy checks.
Adjust machine settings, including speed and feed rates, for optimal performance.
Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machines.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Assist in other areas as needed to support production goals.

Position Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
Experience: Previous machining or related experience is preferred; on-the-job training will be provided.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, operation, repair, and maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing methods used to maximize efficiency and product quality.
Understanding of workplace safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
