About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist / Consultant in Emergency Medicine to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide high-quality emergency medical care, rapidly assess and stabilize critically ill or injured patients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with acute medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies.
  • Perform rapid triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency interventions.
  • Manage adult and pediatric emergency cases in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelines.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, intubation, central venous access, chest tube insertion, procedural sedation, and advanced cardiac life support.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and referrals to appropriate specialties.
  • Lead and participate in trauma and cardiac arrest response teams.
  • Interpret diagnostic investigations, including ECGs, laboratory results, and imaging studies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and medical records.
  • Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and continuing medical education (CME).
  • Ensure compliance with DOH regulations, hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols.
  • Participate in rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as required.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
  • MD, DNB, Arab Board, MRCP, MRCEM, FCEM, FRCEM, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid DOH License or DOH Eligibility.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialization experience in a busy Emergency Department.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (preferred).
  • Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and crisis management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency environment.
