Head - Cloud Operations| Thane

• The Head of Cloud Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• This role ensures the reliability, security, scalability, and performance of the company's cloud environment, driving operational excellence and cost-efficiency.
• The ideal candidate is a seasoned cloud leader with deep technical expertise, strong management skills, and a strategic mindset focused on leveraging cloud technologies to achieve business goals.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Develop and Execute Strategy: Define and lead the long-term cloud operations strategy, roadmap, and architecture (e.g., multi-cloud, hybrid) in alignment with overall business and technology objectives.
• Operational Excellence: Establish and enforce best practices for cloud governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident management (e.g., SRE principles).
• Budget Management: Oversee the FinOps strategy, including cloud spend optimization, cost reporting, forecasting, and resource utilization across all cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships and negotiate contracts with cloud providers and third-party operational tool vendors.

Functional Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability of mission-critical apps by meeting/exceeding SLOs & SLAs.
• Drive automation through Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for provisioning, deployment, monitoring and scaling.
• Implement robust observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and Datadog for real-time system health.
• Lead incident response, post-mortems and remediation to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain strong cloud security posture and compliance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Oversee IAM strategies, conduct audits and ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.

• M.Tech/B.Tech Or Equivalent Bachelors Degree
• Min Exp: 18 years
• Max Exp: 25 years
