New Richmond Road Stage 2 construction will reduce congestion, improve safety and provide improved flood resilience between Richmond and North Richmond. It addresses congestion issues caused by traffic increases from a growing population, by aiming to improve travel times and provide more reliable access during flooding events.
The Richmond Bridge Stage 2 Project includes
- Building a new four lane bridge over the Hawkesbury River
- Widening of Bells Line of Road through North Richmond
- Building a new bypass between the Kurrajong Road / Old Kurrajong Road intersection and the Castlereagh Road / Southee Road intersection
- New connections for pedestrians and bicycle users, from Richmond and North Richmond
- Intersection upgrade at Grose Vale Road and widening on Bells Line of Road
- Building the Southee Road bypass, including noise mitigations and landscaping.

What’s on offer?
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project in New South Wales for our Eastern Region Construction (ERC) business. This is a key role where you’ll bring your technical capability and leadership together to help drive safe, high-quality outcomes for our clients and communities.
Working closely with the Construction Manager and broader delivery team, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating day-to-day project activities, forecasting, programming and ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard and within budget. We’re looking for someone with experience across both civil and structures disciplines, who can confidently work across multiple work fronts and support the successful delivery of a complex infrastructure project.
What you’ll do
- Support the delivery of works and be responsible for safety, quality, cost and program outcomes
- Provide leadership and direction to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to plan, program and deliver the project
- Monitor project performance, including costs, progress, forecasting and programme
- Identify risks and resolve issues early to keep delivery on track
- Support contract administration, procurement and subcontractor management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients and stakeholders
How you’ll connect to the role?
We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer who brings solid experience delivering civil infrastructure projects, with exposure across both civil and structures works. You'll have a strong understanding of what it takes to successfully manage multiple work fronts, coordinate diverse teams and deliver outcomes in a dynamic project environment.
You take a practical, hands-on approach and are comfortable leading from the front, supporting your team, solving problems and making informed decisions when it matters. Your experience working across areas such as earthworks, pavements, utilities, bridge structures or major concrete works will enable you to confidently oversee construction activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, programme and cost.
You know how to bring people together, communicate clearly and build trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors and project teams. You care about safety, take pride in delivering quality outcomes and enjoy being part of a team that supports each other and continually looks for better ways of working.
