PATH exists to provide radical accompaniment, opportunity, and formation for scholars on their journey through college and toward spiritual and personal fulfillment. We partner with schools and families from 6th grade through degree completion to enable complete student flourishing.

  1. Role Overview

The Administrative & Communications Intern supports the PATH Tucson Program by managing digital outreach, streamlining stakeholder communications, and executing vital operational tasks. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented student seeking hands-on experience in non-profit management, educational programming, graphic design, or marketing.

  1. Key Responsibilities

A. Digital Marketing & Content Creation

  • Social Media Management: Lead the PATH Instagram account, including content creation, post scheduling, and community engagement (~2 hrs/week).
  • Graphic Design: Create promotional materials, flyers, and digital slides for students and families using Canva and other design tools (~1–2 hrs/week).

B. Stakeholder Engagement & Student Outreach

  • Automated Communications: Build and manage Slate drip campaigns, designing and scheduling emails tailored to specific stakeholder groups (~1 hr/week).
  • Student Tracking & Follow-Up: Monitor student completion trackers and issue regular task reminders via official email or phone channels (~30 mins/week).
  • Cohort Updates: Curate and design bi-monthly "GPS Level" newsletters and web updates featuring relevant resources for Middle School, High School, and College/Career cohorts.

C. Operations & Event Logistics

  • Event Planning Support: Research potential venues, solicit catering menus, and secure non-profit rate discounts for programmatic events.
  • Data & Administrative Support: Compile regional school and college academic calendars, manage data entry projects, and process periodic expense reports.
  • On-Site Execution: Assist with event logistics, including guest check-in, materials setup (name tags, agendas), and event photography.
  • Perform other program support duties as assigned.
  1. Schedule & Time Commitment
  • Standard Schedule: 5–7 hours per week
  • Peak Periods: Up to 10 hours per week during major events and summer preparation
  • Flexibility: Hours are flexible, with mandatory on-site attendance required for select Tucson events.

 

  • Communication: Strong written communication skills for newsletters and professional email etiquette for outreach.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Instagram and Canva. Experience with Slate or other CRM/Email marketing tools is a plus (or a willingness to learn).
  • Organization: Ability to track deadlines for multiple student cohorts and manage periodic tasks independently.
  • Advocacy for Equity: A passion for supporting students through the PATH program.

Compensation: $18.00/hour

This position will be accepting applications until September 4, 2026; however, it is subject to be re-opened on a rolling basis to identify the most qualified candidate for the role.
