About The Role

  • Assistant General Managers will be expected to complete job duties as requested in a prompt and
  • organized fashion, abiding by the standard checklist and quality specifications as provided by the
  • General Manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the General Manager in daily operations
  • Provide all guests with warm, knowledgeable and professional service at all times
  • Be present and visible on the floor during service, providing assistance to servers and their sections as needed.
  • Strive to reach company goals in sales, service, quality and appearance of restaurant
  • Maintain cleanliness/ working condition of all equipment through personal inspection, follow the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
  • Address/ handle any escalated customer complaints
  • Conduct routine follow up with staff to ensure weekly cleaning duties and opening/ closing duties are being performed as expected and lists for each are being updated regularly
  • Complete scheduling for FOH staff on 7Shifts while working in line with budgets and targets
  • Address concerns/ issues regarding the wine/beverage list with Senior Management and communicate any changes to team
  • Place orders as needed via Notch, oversee ordering of extra supplies for events, maintain supply of restaurant T-Shirts, glassware and FOH smallwares
  • Monitor OpenTable system, ensure updates and guest info are correct
  • Conduct primary interviews with potential new hires
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Preferred Hospitality Diploma
  • Minimum five (5) years managing experience in a restaurant/ hospitality company
  • Desirable: Minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) Wine Certificate
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Knowledge and understanding of wines, spirits and all alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to work efficiently and consistently in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead a team, be a motivational team player
  • Have the ability to carry a weight/ physical workload of up to 40lbs
  • Be able to work in standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
  • Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of ethics, values
  • Self-motivated and organized

Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 plus gratuities
