Job Description
Counterparty Risk Analysis
- Perform due diligence of new and existing counterparties (banks, broker-dealers, hedge funds, corporates, etc.); Assess creditworthiness and assign internal credit ratings scores.
- Prescribe credit terms & covenants for legal documentations such as ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA etc.
- Recommend and set appropriate counterparty limits and initial margin terms.
Exposure Measurement & Monitoring
- Calculate and monitor current and potential future exposures for derivative portfolios and securities financing transactions.
- Continuously monitor counterparty exposures against approved counterparty limits and market conditions to identify potential risks.
- Oversee the collateral management process related to counterparty risk (margin calls, disputes, eligibility of collateral).
- Manage limit excesses: investigate causes, escalate breaches, and work with Front Office to remediate.
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare clear and concise risk reports. Communicate risk findings, limit breaches, and recommendations effectively to Front Office, Senior Management, and Collateral teams.
- Participate in regulatory examinations and audits.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk policies and procedures.
Qualification
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills for risk modeling and financial analysis.
- Solid programming skills to handle quantitative data analysis independently.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-tasking in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient oral and writing skills in Mandarin and English, Cantonese is a plus.
