About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Partnership to lead a team of 10 Partnership Facilitators and strengthen relationships with local partner organizations and community stakeholders.

The role provides strategic leadership, coaching, and operational oversight to strengthen local ownership, organizational capacity, accountability, and sustainable community impact. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating complex institutional environments, building trust with diverse stakeholders, and managing sensitive conversations and conflicts.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10 Partnership Facilitators.
  • Manage performance, staff development, engagement, recruitment, and team capacity building.
  • Foster a culture of learning, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Partnership & Community Engagement

  • Lead the team in supporting partners throughout the partnership cycle—from needs assessment and planning to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strengthen partner ownership, capacity, accountability, and sustainability.
  • Develop, review, and implement partnership agreements and MOUs.
  • Build strong relationships with NGOs, community organizations, networks, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration, shared learning, and resource mobilization across partner networks.

Strategic Management & Governance

  • Contribute to strategy, planning, and budget development.
  • Provide strategic insights to senior leadership and align resources with organizational priorities.
  • Promote sound institutional governance, ethical practices, and accountability.
  • Navigate complex governance matters and lead crucial conversations with partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and adapt strategies based on changing needs.

Collaboration & Accountability

  • Work closely with Program Support, Business Support, and other internal teams.
  • Monitor partnership progress through plans, visits, reports, feedback, and evaluation data.
  • Ensure organizational standards, safeguarding requirements, and partnership commitments are upheld.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Management, Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of partnership development experience , preferably in an NGO, development, humanitarian, or community-based organization.
  • At least 5 years of leadership or people-management experience.
  • Proven experience managing partnerships and developing or implementing MOUs or partnership agreements .
  • Strong understanding of institutional governance, organizational structures, and accountability mechanisms .
  • Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and managing sensitive conversations .
  • Strong coaching, mentoring, staff development, and team management skills.
  • Experience working with diverse community organizations and stakeholder networks.
  • Strong strategic thinking, sound judgment, adaptability, and relationship-building skills.
