SUMMARY

Stores and documents all receipts and issues of supplies.

Gives prompt and courteous service to departments.

Maintains security and control of supplies held in stock.

Assists in receiving and driving functions as well as special projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains stock within prescribed levels and check daily for replenishment
  • Maintains up to date back order/stock-out file and follows up on all outstanding back orders and checks with supervisor regarding suitable substitutes.
  • Cycle counts stock and makes necessary adjustments
  • Picks stock, fills orders and carts, and delivers orders/carts to departments and obtains necessary signatures, as needed.
  • Protects inventories against damage, deterioration and theft
  • Documents and enters into computer inventory transactions using appropriate paperwork for inventory control purposes and forward to appropriate personnel for processing as directed
  • Assists in materials management work areas such as copy center, mailroom, receiving, courier and purchasing as directed
  • Assist in physical inventories and other special projects as necessary
  • Tags all patient chargeable items as necessary and in a timely manner
  • Maintains Stores Area, including exchange carts, clean and orderly at all times and free of all fire and safety hazards
  • Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to using departments/visitors
  • Operates in adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Communicates regularly with supervisor regarding workflow, problems and opportunities for cost containment.

Pay Range
