About The Role
The Strength & Conditioning Coach will lead and oversee training programs for Duluth East athletics, collaborating with coaches and school leadership to support student-athlete performance and development.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in exercise science preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee seasonally appropriate strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports teams.
- Lead training sessions and strength classes, ensuring safe, effective, and sport-specific programming.
- Coordinate training schedules and facility use in partnership with the school’s Athletic Director.
- Collaborate closely with head coaches and Essentia Health Athletic Trainers to support performance goals, injury prevention, and return-to-play planning.
- Monitor and track individual athlete progress to promote ongoing development.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with students, coaches, school leadership, and sports medicine staff.
This position is a casual role, although estimated to be 25-30 hours per week, with flexibility. Please note that this position is not eligible for benefits.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications
- Certification by a national strength and conditioning body required. Examples include but are not limited to CSCS, USAW, NSAM, ISSA SCC
- B LS within 3 months of date of hire
