19.06 - 22.00 USD Per Hour Working Location

Merced, CA Working Hours/Shift

This position is eligible for our Commuter Benefit Program for

  • This position is eligible for commuter benefits for those who travel more than 20 miles one way from their residence to their work location.
  • Eligible employees approved for the Commuter Benefit Program will receive $200 per month for regular full-time employees and $100 per month for regular part-time employees.

What you bring to SBHG

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) year unit clerk or clerical experience and medical record experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, required.

How you will make a difference

The Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and organized client records, including creating and managing client binders, ensuring proper labeling, and keeping documentation complete and compliant with regulatory requirements. This role supports admissions, referrals, and transfers, tracks required screenings and assessments, photographs new admissions for placement in medical records, and maintains daily census reports and shift reports. Additional responsibilities include scanning and auditing documents within the electronic medical record (EMR), updating county referral logs, ordering clinical and office supplies, answering phones, taking messages, and providing administrative support to nursing and clinical teams to ensure efficient program operations.

  • Population Served: Serving adults, ages 18-59
  • Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient voluntary program, 16-bed facility
  • Clinical Services: Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
  • Length of Stay: 30 day stay
  • Skills & Services: Pre-vocational or vocational counseling and medication evaluation and support services.
