On-Call Youth Counselor Nightshift Division/Program
Fresno Youth Psychiatric Health Facility Starting Compensation
21.00 - 23.00 USD Per Hour Working Location
Fresno, CA Working Hours/Shift
- No fixed schedule. Weekend coverage available on Friday-Sunday, for Nightshift (6:00 PM-6:30 AM), based on availability and facility needs.

What you bring to SBHG
Education
- YCI: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required.
- YCII: Associate degree required.
Experience
- One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents preferred.
License and Certification
- Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment.
- Valid ProAct certification required within 30 days of employment.
How you will make a difference
The Youth Counselor has the primary responsibility for supervising and caring for adolescent clients in a safe and supportive environment. Assists with daily living skills such as eating, hygiene, grooming, and social interactions. Provides guidance and encouragement to promote positive behavior and healthy development. Supports adolescents with daily activities, school, and group programs, and helps lead group activities while encouraging participation and appropriate behavior.
Division/Program Overview
- Population Served: Serving youth, ages 12-17, dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms
- Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient Involuntary program, 16-bed facility
- Clinical Services: A dmission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
- Skills & Services: Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans.
