Sportsbook Supervisor

About The Role
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the sportsbook, ensuring efficient operations and a high level of guest service.
- Supervise, train, and mentor sportsbook ticket writers, ensuring they adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service.
- Address and resolve any guest issues or disputes promptly and professionally, maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Ensure that sportsbook operations comply with all regulatory and company policies, including gaming laws and anti-money laundering protocols.
- Monitor the ticket-writing process to ensure accuracy in bets, payouts, and record-keeping.
- Assist with daily reporting, handle financial transactions, and maintain accurate records of bets placed and payouts made.
- Assist in creating and managing team schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
- Support sportsbook promotional activities, special events, and marketing initiatives to drive business growth.
- Provide feedback to management on operational improvements and contribute ideas to enhance the guest experience.
- 2+ years of experience in sportsbook operations or a similar role within the gaming industry.
- Must be able to use a computer and relevant software for job-related tasks.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to handle transactions and record-keeping with high accuracy.
- A solid understanding of sports betting types, odds, and sportsbook technology.
- Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance requirements.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsibility for understanding and adhering to all company and VA Lottery compliance requirements.
- Must be able to obtain a VA Lottery License.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, pull, or push up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to write for long periods.
- Ability to twist, bend, and reach without significant restrictions.
- Willingness to work in an environment that may be exposed to smoke.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to bright lights and flashing lights for extended periods of time.
Wage : $22.00 an hour
