We are seeking an experienced Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to lead safety compliance and execution on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects. This role serves as the on-site safety authority and plays a critical role in protecting our people, projects, and clients.

Work Includes
- Serving as the on-site SSHO and competent person in accordance with EM 385-1-1
- Implementing and enforcing the project-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP)
- Developing and maintaining Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA) for all work activities
- Leading daily safety meetings, briefings, and field engagement with crews
- Conducting routine site inspections and immediately addressing unsafe conditions
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA, USACE, and all applicable safety regulations
- Managing safety documentation, reports, submittals, and daily logs
- Investigating incidents and near-misses; identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Coordinating closely with Project Management, CQCSM, and subcontractors
- Enforcing subcontractor compliance with all project safety requirements
- Exercising stop-work authority when unsafe conditions are identified
- Promoting a proactive, field-driven safety culture across the project
