• About the role
• As General Manager, you’ll have the freedom to make The Cow your own, building on what already works while identifying new opportunities to grow the business.
• You’ll lead from the front, developing a great team, delivering fantastic guest experiences and creating a pub that people are proud to call their local.
• This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on, commercially focused and always looking for the next opportunity.
• What you'll do

• Work with your Business Development Manager and management team to grow sales and profitability.
• Lead, motivate and develop your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Build on The Cow’s strong sporting reputation and grow opportunities across football, darts, F1 and live events.
• Maximise the potential of the upstairs function space and 30-cover roof terrace.
• Drive awareness and sales of our unique pizza offer.
• Recruit and develop a strong, engaged team.
• Champion brand standards and ensure the safety of customers and colleagues.
• Take ownership of your P&L, with a strong focus on commercial performance.
• Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

What you'll bring

• Previous experience managing a busy pub, hospitality venue, retail business or similar fast-paced operation.
• A strong commercial mindset and an eye for opportunities to grow sales.
• Great leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop a team.
• High standards and attention to detail.
• A passion for creating memorable customer experiences.
• Confidence, energy and the ability to make things happen.
• Previous General Manager experience is desirable, but we’re also open to ambitious Assistant Managers ready to take their next step.
• A Personal Licence, or the ability to obtain one.
