Civil Engineer - Water Resource - Engineer in Training (Project Engineer Preferred)

What you'll do
- Design construction plans, contract documents, quantity takeoffs, and opinions of probable construction cost for stormwater capital-improvement projects
- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water-quality analyses for open-channel and closed-conduit stormwater systems
- Design site-specific best management practices, including conventional, low-impact-development, and stormwater volume-control solutions
- Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation for regulatory approval
- Develop one- and two-dimensional hydrologic and hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, technical exhibits, and drainage reports
- Apply Autodesk Civil 3D and water-resources modeling software to prepare and refine designs
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
- Manage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Biosystems Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain (PE path strongly preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in water resources engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis
- Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, stormwater design, and water-quality analysis
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, and ArcGIS preferred
- Experience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling is a plus
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines
- Client-service mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

On-site: Monday–Thursday 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; Friday 7:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m.
