Job Summary

A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist performs all required exams in the MRI Department while assuring high quality patient care and adequate MR Safety protection at all times. The MRI Technologist must be responsible for On-Call duties and be available to respond within the timeframe outlined in the Radiology Policy and Procedure Guidelines. The MRI Technologist will also be required to perform intravascular contrast media injections as defined in Section 89.40 in Part 89 Practice of Radiologic Technology.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of formal training program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Required
• 1 year of experience in MRI Required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must possess high degree of knowledge and understanding in services and technology.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered in MRI within 180 Days Required
• BLS - American Heart Association Required
• Diagnostic registered with certification to administer contrast media from New York State. Required
