Job Summary**
A Carpenter at Primoris Heavy Civil in Golden Meadow, LA will perform skilled carpentry work on heavy civil construction projects, primarily involving concrete forms, structural framing, and general construction tasks. Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications and layout.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, fiberglass, and other materials according to specifications, using hand and power tools.
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, using carpenter's hand tools and power tools.
- Build concrete forms for foundations, columns, beams, and other structural elements, ensuring proper alignment and stability.
- Install blocking, furring, and bracing as required.
- Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
- Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter in heavy civil construction.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools common to the carpentry trade.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction techniques.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Heavy Civil is comprised of six operating units that include North Louisiana Operations, South Louisiana Operations, Texas Operations, HMA Paving Operations, Concrete Paving Operations, and the Infrastructure Rehabilitation Unit.
