D365 F&O Senior Trade and Logistics Consultant

Your role, your impact

As a Senior Trade & Logistics Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in delivering expert-level functional consulting services across Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), with a focus on supply chain execution, procurement, sourcing, inventory management, landed cost, and global trade compliance. You’ll leverage your supply chain and Dynamics expertise to design and implement end-to-end trade and logistics solutions aligned with client operational goals, business requirements, and established delivery methodologies.

Your ability to lead supply chain discovery, translate complex logistics requirements into effective D365 F&O solutions, guide clients through implementation best practices, and mentor consulting teams will directly contribute to successful implementations, client confidence, and delivery excellence.

Your day-to-day

• Design end-to-end trade and logistics functional solutions that address complex supply chain requirements using D365 F&O;
• Lead and facilitate procurement, sourcing, logistics, and global trade business process discovery and requirements workshops;
• Perform gap analysis between client logistics processes and D365 F&O capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions;
• Configure D365 F&O supply chain modules including Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Landed Cost, and Global Trade;
• Review solution design recommendations and guide clients through implementation best practices, applying Microsoft Success by Design principles and established delivery methodologies;
• Develop functional design documents (FDDs) for custom developments, integrations, label printing, and ISV extensions;
• Design, develop, and execute SIT and UAT scenarios, and coordinate supply chain data migration activities including items, vendors, customers, on-hand inventory, open purchase orders, open sales orders, and trade agreements;
• Advise clients on solution roadmaps, upgrade paths, and ISV or third-party logistics extensions, and requirements for complex multi-site, multi-warehouse, and multi-country environments;
• Provide leadership and mentorship to consultants, support issue resolution, escalation management, and change control governance across supply chain workstreams;
• Contribute to project planning activities through effort estimation and maintain strong client relationships through delivery excellence.

Keys to your success

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field;
• Minimum 5 years of combined ERP and supply chain/logistics industry experience, including at least 3 years as a Dynamics D365 F&O consultant specializing in trade and logistics;
• Strong implementation experience across D365 F&O supply chain functionality, including Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory Management, Landed Cost, and Global Trade;
• Experience supporting multi-site, multi-warehouse, international trade implementations, distribution, industrial, MRO, spare parts, retail, 3PL, or consumer goods environments;
• Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes across procurement, sourcing, inventory, warehousing, transportation, landed cost, and global trade;
• Ability to conduct effective discovery sessions with diverse supply chain stakeholders including warehouse teams, traffic managers, import/export coordinators, buyers, and executive supply chain leaders;
• Strong understanding of project methodologies, change control processes, and delivery standards, with the ability to manage multiple supply chain workstreams within project schedules and budget constraints;
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex supply chain concepts to operational and executive stakeholders and work effectively across functional, technical, and integration teams.

Extra edge

• APICS CSCP, CLTD, or equivalent supply chain certification;
• Experience with Microsoft Success by Design, ISV and third-party logistics extensions, continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior or mid-level D365 F&O consultants.
