In this role, you will

• Mechanical Engineering & Operational Support- Serve as a key engineering resource for mechanical equipment, systems, and manufacturing processes throughout the mill.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, Technical, and Administrative teams to safely achieve operational goals and business objectives.
• Provide engineering expertise to identify, analyze, and resolve equipment and process-related issues.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause investigations to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Evaluate opportunities for process optimization, equipment upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Support reliability, safety, quality, and productivity initiatives through sound engineering practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal and external technical resources to implement industry best practices and innovative solutions.
• Capital Planning & Budget Development- Participate in the annual development of the plant's three-year capital and major maintenance budget.
• Identify opportunities for equipment replacements, facility improvements, capacity enhancements, and process optimization projects.
• Develop project scopes, cost estimates, and business justifications.
• Solicit vendor quotes and prepare project descriptions for capital approval and budgeting purposes.
• Support strategic investments that improve operational performance and support the mill's continued growth.
• Project Development & Preparation- Develop and lead cross-functional project teams consisting of operations, maintenance, engineering, and technical personnel.
• Create detailed project specifications and comprehensive scopes of work.
