Referral Coordinator - GI

A non-exempt medical office position responsible for all referrals for the medical offices in the market

Process patient referrals for the practices in the market

-

Coordinate scheduling of office visits for the referred patient

-

Assist patient with finding resources that accept the various insurances

-

Obtains pre-authorization from payers.

Set up referring providers in the Electronic System

Education : High school diploma/GED required

Certification : Prefer healthcare management/administration or Medical Assistant certification.

Experience : Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working in a medical office setting
